Up in the Treetop

Way up high, it looks like the beginnings of a tree house.

But it’s a crow’s nest! She arranges the twigs and metal pieces. It doesn’t look very comfortable!

She had picked up hangers from balconies and these from the fields. The farmers use them to hold covers on rows of crops.

She turned, saw me, and

flew to the top of a building. Another crow glided by and

looked in my direction from a wire. He seemed like he didn’t know what to do,

so he fluffed the fluff he’d gathered for the nest.

He looked in her direction. I left. I hope they don’t vacate their nest because of my visit. I’d like to see them again.
